After Lan’s arrival and a subsequent discussion with the fucking committee that my life is now subject to, some good decisions were made. At least I believe they were good decisions. Only time will tell.

I want her back, by whatever means necessary.

While I’m not entirely happy about Lan’s arrival, perhaps I should have anticipated it.

Gods, goddesses, and deities in general are a mystical concept to me. I believe in life and death. Tonight, I’m ready to believe anything, if only it would bring Erin back. I must acknowledge what is going on, how Quinn was able to connect, communicate, touch, and by all accounts, fuck his mate, using nothing but the power of a dream. Well, not actually a dream, but an interdimensional portal that springs into effect when we lie down to rest.

The hows and whys are unimportant. I’m worried about Erin.

Nothing moves swiftly, since we don’t have a surname. Even Lan doesn’t have that, although he does have a little more information on where she lives. Like me, he has been dream-sharing, although he likewise hasn’t touched her yet.

Tonight, as I lie in my bed, I’m restless and sleep will not come for me, no matter how desperately I want it.

I’ve been told that time moves differently on each side of the portal. Perhaps only minutes have passed for Erin, or perhaps several days.

I can’t shake off the worry. It beats down upon me relentlessly from every direction.

Avery now feels a connection between Erin, Lan, and me. I have been told that her writing strengthens the interdimensional portal connecting Xars to Earth. She said she would think about us, and if possible, she would write.
